It features an allover lattice design of flowering shrubs in reds, blues, yellow, blue and aubergine on a dark brown ground. Uncommonly and to great effect a narrow red ground border of vibrant polychrome rosettes is sandwiched between two wider matching borders of simple blossoming flowers on a soft camel ground. This Shahsavan rug was during the 19th century. The octagons and ground are full of various protection symbols, flora and fauna and geometric shapes. Framed by a main border of talish rosettes on an ivory ground that is flanked by bent ribbon minor borders. Excellent use of color and contrast give the border wonderful movement and dimension. The shahsavan are mostly known for their bags and flatweaves.quite rare and collectible.

Antique oversized kelleghi Mahal featuring an all-over pattern of interlocked palmettes in spectacular hues of multiple blues, greens, coral, yellow, and soft purple on a rare ivory ground. The field design is a well-rendered variation of the Mina Khani design. Perfectly framed by a vibrant navy main border featuring palmettes and serrated leaves. Various distinct minor borders add interesting detail and interest to the piece.

Kurdish Bidjar area rug featuring an all-over lattice design containing eight-pointed star-like rosettes in various reds, blues, and browns on a light camel field. It is framed by three borders each featuring the same blossoming vine motif but on distinct color grounds.

Vintage Gudjeri Jajim - 4'4 x 9'10

This rug was handwoven by Kurds during the first quarter of the quarter of the 20th century. It features a traditional Kurdish design of diagonal stripes in a rainbow of pastel tones. The seemingly random color placement along wiht the varying thickness and movement of the stripes imbibe the rug with life and movement. Framed by a main border of stepped polygons and triangles on a coral ground with ends that are beautifully embellished with multiple barber pole weft floats.

This runner was woven by Kurds at the turn of the 20th century. It features large rows of botehs in pink, purple, blue, ivory and brown on a vibrant orange ground. In between the botehs various vegetation, people and animals can be found. The whole is framed by two main borders of rosettes that shift in form on chocolate and pistachio grounds. The borders have moments where animals and people can be found between the rosettes.

This Vintage Middle Atlas Zemmour Runner features a column of flatwoven concentric diamonds in turquoise, yellow, green, and red that pop against a white cotton field. The same tones are woven in fluffy rows of pile along the edges adding fun and excitement. It is crafted of wool and cotton wefts on a cotton foundation with dangling metal sequins woven throughout.

This Karabaugh kilim features horizontal row of stars or abstracted flowers in light and dark brown, soft greens, slate and vibrant red and orange on a black ground. The pattern is simple but interesting and can be read multiple depending on what the viewer focuses on. Woven of hearty handspun with the undyed brown warps adding an additional aesthetic dimension.

This Bessarabian kilim features four bouquets plush cabbage roses in maroon, orange and soft pink on a deep brown, almost black field. It has a small inner frame of pairs of simpler flowers on a track with c scroll cornices. The proper outer border features a scrolling view with various leaves in bright oranges, slate and soft pinks on a camel ground.
