This very large kilim was woven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features an expansive red field framed by a border of small and large concentric diamonds in vibrant hues of red, blue, green, yellow, ivory and pink. The long field is unadorned other than a moment in the center where four concentric diamonds form a larger diamond. Simple yet grand in its scale and its interaction of color.
In very good condition with a variety of proper but visibly patched areas (as pictured). This example was published in the book "Flatwoven Rugs of the World" on page 45.
