This Anatolian rug was handwoven in Western Turkiye in 2024.  It was handwoven using small-batch wool that has been handspun and naturally dyed. The golden yellow dyestuff is derived from chamomile and other locally foraged flowers.A true celebration of traditional techniques and natural dyeing.

18th century Central Anatolia This piece captures moments of the field, main border and the skirt lappets. All of the components necessary to envision how the piece would appear in it's original glory. The wonderful and stunning tones have survived over 200 years and still feel electric. It features the characteristic yellows, purples and blues characteristic of central Anatolia not to mention a great red and highly desirable green! it's aesthetic impact. It features open and undulating sage mihrab with beautiful red and white flowers blossoming against a sky blue ground in it's stepped niche.
