The varied blues, greens, oranges, reds, and yellow really stand out against a calming periwinkle ground. Framed by an energetic inner border of varied blocks of red, oranges, and pink and well-spaced interlocking circles, the main border features the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism on a darker shade of periwinkle.

This Deco rug was handwoven during the 1930s in Tientsin, China. It features a soft maroon ground with a calm mauve border. The design is directional and whimsical which is not restrained by the border. Across the bottom are a variety of lively scholar stones, various vegetation and even a small bird. Large palmettes blossom from curving vines around the perimeter and two lanterns hang to the right side of the rendering.Truly a statement piece, this rug will liven up any room.
