Chinese Deco rug, handwoven in Tientsin, China during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This deco is simple yet stunning with a dusty pink field and sage border. Large scale two-tone roses are rendered in yellow & brown, red & pink, and evergreen & mint with dramatic effect and with no regard for border or field.
In very good condition, signs of old moth damage throughout. The pile is low and densely woven, with a sturdy handle. A very hardwearing rug.
