19th century Indian Jail dhurrie featuring a series rows of deep navy and bright white stripes which feather at each end in the central panel. Two skirt panels feature smaller alternating white and navy stripes broken up by two bright indigo blocks. These rugs were part of prison reform beginning in 19th century India.

19th Century Lavar Kerman features a central medallion with a curvilinear floral design and scalloped cornices. The field is a rich raspberry color, nicely contrasted by the lighter pinks and creams of the cornices. 19th century south Persian lori rug featuring a classic repeating diamond pattern set in a diagonal. Note the classic candy-cane borders found in many rugs woven in the Zagros. The main border continues the diamond motif of the main design but in a straight line. Two little figures at the top on the left and right of the rug add a touch of whimsy.
