This Tabriz was woven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a tight and expertly rendered all-over all over design of organic arabesques, blossoming flowers and palmettes on a desirable soft golden ground. The palette of turqoise, yellow, earthy red and both soft and bright pink pop on the rare and elegant golden ground. The main border features whimsical palmettes that well reconciled around the corners. The uncommon palette and well executed design make this a standout piece.
In very good condition, with a full pile. Some leather binding has been sewn to the underside along the length sides and the ends have been reinforced with an artificial fringe.
