This Kurdish rug was handwoven during the middle of the 20th century.
It features an all-over design of latch hooked diamonds that sparkle against a deep brown/ almost black ground. Framed by a series of borders in an uncommon palette of yellows, oranges, pinks, and ivory.
In good condition, with areas of the cotton foundation showing. Pile is chunky, with a hefty handle.
