This vintage Rya rug was woven in Denmark during the middle of the 20th century.
It features a minimalist square design in tones of sky blue, gold, ivory, and brown on a cream ground. Rya rugs were woven with longer strands of yarn which gives them a high pile and their distinctly shaggy look and feel.
In very good condition, with signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is full and shaggy, with a sturdy handle.
