This Beni Ourain rug was woven during the middle of 20th century in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

It features a central column of black latticed diamonds on a creamy white ground.  Red and brown stripes can be found around the perimeter, most prominently in the striped kilim end borders. Good quality wool in a large format. Often imititated this is the real deal Moroccan shag that Frank Lloyd Wright referred to as

This Beni Ourain rug was woven during the middle of 20th century in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

In very good condition, with minimal signs of wear. Pile is thick, with a soft handle.
