This runner was woven by Kurds in Eastern Anatolia during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a pattern of wonky interconnected diamonds on a glowing blue ground and framed by a border of simpler diamonds on a red ground. The simple but effective palette also utilizes brown and white tones as well as a few moments of pale yellow.
In very good condition, ends have been reinforced for longevity. Pile is low, with a floppy handle.
