This hooked rug was hand-hooked on a burlap base in New England during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a wreath of flowers circling a central floral spray on a taupe ground. The earth tones of the field contrast nicely with the bright pinks of the roses and the soft blues of the periwinkle flowers. A simple brown border frames this delicate design.
In good vintage condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Edges have been reinforced to prolong longevity.
