This Kalamkari was handcrafted in Isfahan during the first half of the 20th century.
Kalamkari is a traditional technique originating in India and known for it’s intricate designs. It involves block printing and/or hand painting with dye on fabric. This Kalamkari features an allover flower-filled lattice design that is framed by a main border of wavy interlocking palmettes.
In Good condition with a small hole neas the center and some staining on the backing cloth.
