This Gansu rug was handwoven in Northern China during the end of the 20th Century
This cute little Gansu rug has a golden yellow field with a persimmon orange border. The design is woven in indigo blue with shades of orange and pink providing details. The main field features three central pearls and small orange blossoms throughout, with a simple cornice in each corner. The border design is composed of a curvilinear floral meander.
In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Pile is soft and luscious, with a soft handle. Original kilim ends are still intact.
