This Qashqa'i runner was woven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features repeat red and ivory ground medallions on a navy ground full of flora and fauna including the charming addition of various animals added to the top of the composition. It features a main border of 8 pointed stars surrounded by multiple minor borders in an array of diagonal stripes and interlocks. The borders really sparkle while showcasing the extensive palette of reds, blues, greens, browns, yellow, and ivory. Wonderfully finished with extra embellishments like the candy cane selvedge and classic Qashqa'i skirt borders. In rare, hard-to-find Qashqa'i runner format.
In very good condition, with some end wear and an old repair. Medium pile with soft but hefty handle.
