This stunning Lavar Kerman rug is composed of a central medallion design in surmah with four cornices on a soft beige field. The medallion is curvilinear and complex with intricate botehs and floral sprays. Intricate strapwork whips out from the medallion and into the field. The main border is composed of a cartouche motif filled with rosettes. The navy minor borders frame the main border well and accentuate the central medallion.
The main color palette of the rug is indigo blue and ivory while camel tones and cochineal reds and pinks are used for the detailing.
In good condition, some excess wear across the top of the rug from an old traffic pattern. The pile is low, with a softer handle.
