This Tekke Turkmen rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in Turkmenistan.

The field features a grid of rounded main guls in various shades of brown, tan, bone and wheat on faded copper tone ground. The space between the grid is filled with rows of cruciform shaped secondary guls. It is encapsulated by a border of rams head filled octagons and finished with skirts of latch-hooked zigzags.

In very good condition with even wear throughout with washed out colors. Some small spots of turqoise (as pictured)
