This Kuba cloth was crafted in the Congo during the 20th century.
It was woven of raffia palm fibers which were then applied using an appliqué technique. A brown grid design with circles and arrows has been applied over a wheat-colored backdrop. There are a couple folk repairs with fragments of older Kuba cloth adding interest.
In very good condition, would look excellent on the wall.
