This Rio Grande Blanket was woven in the Southwest United States during the turn of the 20th Century.
It features lively bands of purple, green, beige and coral in different widths. The soft palette and movement of the stripes has a calming effect. Rio Grande weavings encompass weaving throughout New Mexico that incorporates both Navajo and Spanish traditions.
In very good condition, the synthetic dyes are sun faded and were likely much more vibrant when initially created.
