This Mamluk design rug was woven in India during the 21st century.
It features the distinctive patterning and color palette of classical Mamluk rugs. Mamluk rugs are a type of rug that was woven in Egypt during the 15th and 16th centuries. The graphic central medallion is formed of concentric shapes that gives the rendering a kaleidoscopic feel. Soft but lively tones of reds, blues, golds and greens are both striking and harmonious.
In excellent unused condition.
