This Rölakan kilim was handwoven by Åsa Åkerlund in Sweden during the middle of the 20th century.
It features a minimalist geometric design woven with a modernist feel. A bright and cheerful palette of coral, yellow, purple, white, and light and dark blues is enhanced through the use of marled yarn. Signed "AA" in the bottom right hand corner.
In very good condition. Wefted with wool over a cotton warp. Flat pile with a hefty handle.
