This Contemporary N Persian Kilim features four vertical columns of hourglass shapes. A column of navy on a red ground and yellow on an ivory ground is flanked on both sides by red hourglass shapes on a yellow ground which is horizontally connected by a thin strip of yellow on both the top and bottom. The whole is framed by a solid green border.

The thickness of the wool blurs the design in an interesting almost as if the whole rug was vibrating. in a well-balanced and interesting palette of reds, oranges, purple, yellow, greens, and ivories. This style of rug is common in central Anatolia and is known as a Yatak and has origins as a bedding rug.

The field is composed of alternating columns of red and silver triangles each stacked seven high against a ground of black and white wandering stripes. It is framed by a pattern of gray triangles and hash marks on a white ground. The geometric design mixed with the long shaggy pile gives a very modern feel. In very good condition with minimal wear. Pile is shaggy, the handle is heavy but soft.

This Vintage Peruvian Kilim features a grid of diagonally repeating squares full of various abstracted shapes and symbols. It is woven in two panels which are sewn together and utilize tones of soft cochineal purples, undyed browns, and greens with pops of yellow. The colors and style suggest it was woven by the talented weavers in the Ayacucho region. Very soft and lightweight, can double as a multifunctional textile or wall tapestry.
