This kilim was handwoven during the middle of the 20th Century in Sweden by Ingegerd Silow.
Silow was an important Swedish designer and weaver, active during the mid-20th century, considered by many to be Scandinavia's Golden Age of design. Her designs have become highly collectible over the years.
It features a minimal geometric design with a well grounded and serene palette of sage, olive and celadon that are enhanced by subtle blush and ivory accents. A good represenation of the iconic balance of form and restraint that defines Scandinavian modernism. Signed in the corner with the initials 'IS'.
In very good condition, with some light staining to the back and front. Flatwoven, with a sturdy handle.
