This kilim was handwoven during the middle of the 20th Century in Sweden.
It features red cruciform motifs against a variegated yellow ground with bits of ivory and brown blended in. Framed by a strong variegated brown border with abstracted birds and turquoise "bowties" that are surrounded by a thin zig zag and finished with a skirt border on top and bottom
In good condition, with some fraying where the yellow meets the brown and light staining to the back. Flatwoven, with a sturdy handle.
