This bag face was woven by the Jaff Kurds of the Northern and Central Zagros mountains in Wester Iran during the late 19th century.  It features the classic Jaff interlocking diamond pattern in bright, cheerful colors. It is framed on three sides by a fun and wonky laleh abbasi border in black and red that becomes black triangles on a red ground before shifting back to laleh abbasi but with the colors reversed. The fourth side features red and white circles on an indigo ground.

This bag face was woven by the Jaff Kurds of the Northern and Central Zagros mountains during the late 19th century.

It features the classic Jaff interlocking diamond pattern in bright, cheerful colors. It is framed on three sides by a fun and wonky laleh abbasi border in black and red that becomes black triangles on a red ground before shifting back to laleh abbasi but with the colors reversed. The fourth side features red and white circles on an indigo ground. It's small size makes it perfect as a bedside rug, or as a wall hanging. 

In very good condition. There are repairs and some fraying along the edge. A thick meaty pile of soft wool and a hefty handle.
