This hooked rug was, hand-hooked in the Northeastern United States during the first quarter of the 20th century.
This charming rug features a narrow checkerboard design of blue-black squares and multicolor zig-zags. The zig-zag motif continues in the wide border, and the whole is framed by a subtle pearl gray outer border. This rug strikes the perfect balance between playful and elegant and is perfect for a small area in need of some excitement.
In good condition, signs of wear are consistent with age. Some areas have been reinforced and restored to prolong longevity. Flat pile, with a soft handle.
