This Moroccan-styled rug was woven during the 21st century in Afghanistan.
It features an idiosyncratic pattern of diamond lattices. A simple palette of soft bluish-gray lines almost appears scribbled upon the shaggy cream ground. Woven of hearty, hand-spun Afghan wool giving it durability and extra heft not commonly found in the Moroccan weaving usually associated with this patterning.
In excellent condition, with no signs of wear. The pile is thick, with a soft handle.
