This Mahal rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This rug features an all-over Herati pattern in blues, greens, pink and orange on a rare and desirable ivory ground. Nicely framed by a main border of alternating palmettes on a brick ground. Various distinct minor borders add interesting detail and interest to the piece. In a very large and hard-to-find dimension, will instantly transform any space.
In very good condition with some visible throughout but structurally sound. The pile is thick but low, with a dense but floppy handle.
