This Ghoirdes rug was woven in Western Anatolia during the 19th century.
It features an open and undulating sage mihrab with beautiful red and white flowers blossoming against sky-blue ground in its stepped niche. Framed by a main border of simple yet sensational brown and white stripes. Beautifully drawn and perfectly balanced with a soft and calming palette of desirable tones. A rug that is both highly decorative and highly collectible at the same time.
In very good condition, the original selvedges been replaced.
