This Navajo rug was woven in the Southwest United States during the 2nd quarter of the 20th Century.
The design is composed of a single black sawtoothed diamond on a heathered gray field. A central sand toned dash and thin blocks of red on the top and bottom add visual interest and dimension. Straightforward yet very moving with a powerful presence. A nice showcase and celebration of Navajo weaving.
In very good condition, with some wear. Flatwoven, with soft wool and a sturdy handle.
