This Bidjar was woven during the middle of the 20th century.
It features a central medallion with multiple iterations of the Herati pattern that maintains the same scale but subtly changes color combination to a great visual effect. The repeat Herati emanates in different waves from a single patterned ivory center to a rich red surround to a deep navy field. Four ivory cornices work in the opposing direction and highlight the ivory center. Nicely framed by a red ground main border.
In very good condition with minimal wear and a full pile. Very durable rug woven with a dense and hearty handle. Perfect for high traffic areas.
