This Heriz rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a well-balanced and graphic all-over design in green, teal, brick, beige, canary yellow, and coral on a dark navy ground. An alternating palmette main border on a brick ground frames the composition and is flanked by two minor borders of simple meanders that each use a distinctive blue to a great visual effect. The large scale all-over pattern and vibrant and colorful palette against the navy ground are stunning and impactful in this size.
In very good condition with some professionally and properly done restoration in areas of the pile and ends. Medium pile with a dense weave and hefty handle.
