This Kalamkari was handcrafted in Isfahan during the first half of the 20th century.
Kalamkari is a traditional technique originating in India and known for it’s intricate designs. It involves block printing and/or hand painting with dye on fabric. This Kalamkari features an allover lattice of interlocking flowering vines that is framed by a main border of wavy interlocking palmettes.
In Good condition with a couple of small holes (one has been repaired) and light staining.
