Black Navajo Yei Rug - 2'5 x 3’3

This Yei rug was woven by Navajo weavers during the second quarter of the 20th century in the Southwest United States.

The design of this rug is derived from Navajo sand painting. It features six “Yei” or holy people on a black background. The Yei alternate between orange and white and each wears a turquoise necklace and holding sacred eagle feathers.

In Good condition, there is some fraying to the top left corner. Flatwoven, with a soft handle.
