This rug was woven in the Karabagh region of the South Caucasus during the late 19th century.
It features a powerful all-design of angular shapes on a deep navy ground. Framed by a main border of stepped polygon-shaped rosettes sandwiched between two minor "s" borders.
In very good condition with some minor wear (as pictured). All four edges have been reinforced for longevity.
