This Kerman rug was handwoven during the early 20th century.
This intricate rug features a directional architectural scene of hanging lanterns and blossoming flowers. It is comprised of rich tones of rich tones of indigo, ivory, raspberry, and wheat which contrast well giving the drawing depth against the navy void. It is framed by a border of alternating rosettes and cartouches. The cartouches are filled with a faux kufic script.
In very good condition with some loose edges.
