This rug was woven during the 19th century in the Kuba district of the Northern Caucasus.

It features an allover geometric lattice design against an indigo backdrop. A nicely spaced red ground main border provides the perfect contrast to the field. Four stylized animal figures can be seen near the bottom of the field.

In very good condition with wear around the ends and corners. Low pile with a dense but floppy handle.
