This Kurdish rug was handwoven during the early 20th century in Northwest Iran. It features a soft red central medallion floating atop an open midnight blue field. A variation of the herati design can be found in both the medallion and the coral cornices. The meandering palmette border sits on a camel ground and is framed by two thin blue minor borders.

This Antique Navajo Rug features features a series of concentric diamonds in dark brown and ivory on a mottled gray background. The grey background was achieved by spinning different colors of undyed wool together. In each area where the color changes are serrated edges which give the whole composition a blurred eye-dazzling effect. Simple brown and ivory sawtooth borders frame the simple and elegant jagged diamond motif.
