This Serab rug was woven in Western Iran, during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a loosely drawn coral lozenge inset on an another navy lozenge atop a plain camel field. The lozenges feature blue/green jewel tones and pops of orange with a central rosette surrounded by fish like boteh. Three dainty borders frame this simple yet elegant composition.
In very good condition. Edges and sides have been reinforced for longevity. Pile is low, with a soft handle.
