This Lori rug was handwoven during the late 19th century. 

It features a lovely diamond lattice design which both well executed but also with the right amount of wonkiness to give it some personality. Rendered in lush wool an a vibrant red, blue, yellow and green with brown and ivory accents. The main border of "x"s and abstract palmettes is well spaced and sits on an ivory ground which effectively brightens the composition.

In very good condition. A dense pile with some oxidation to the browns.
