This Senneh kilim was woven by Kurds in Western Iran during the third quarter of the 20th century.
This brightly colored Senneh kilim features deep blues and reds, paired with springy oranges and pinks, with white filling in the details. The design is composed of an all-over pattern in the classic Herati style. The major borders contain simple floral geometric shapes on red and blue grounds, while the minor borders are a solid color, alternating between red and orange.
Flatwoven with a cotton foundation, with an airy handle. In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age.
