This Kuba cloth was crafted in the Congo during the 20th century.
It was woven of raffia palm fibers using a cut pile technique giving it a velvet-like appearance. This cloth was made in an alternating grid of black and brown diamonds.
In very good condition, would look excellent on the wall.
