Regular price $5,500.00 Sale

This Lavar Kerman rug was handwoven during the late 19th century.

It features an intricate central medallion with a curvilinear floral design and scalloped cornices. The cornices are distinct but have a continuous feel with the large central medallion, each has an apricot finial device on a scarlet rosette-filled backdrop. Two teardrop medallions drip into the cheerful ivory field of lively blossoming vines in sky blue, scarlet, gold, and purplish brown. The whole is framed by an ivory ground main border which depicts many species of blossoming flowers in naturalistic ways.

In very good condition for its significant age. Finely woven with a thin, floppy handle.
