This Deco rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century in Tietsin, China.
It features a mauve-grey field with a single flowering sprig, woven in lavender and wine with peach, green, light and dark blue detailing. The delicate border contains a variety of blossoms on a meandering vine that echoes the flowers of the field.
In good condition, signs of wear consisten with age, with some wear throughout. Pile is low and densely woven, with a sturdy handle.
