This Hanbel runner was handwoven during the third quarter of the 20th century in Morocco.
It was crafted of cotton wefts on a cotton foundation and features subtle details in silk throughout. Horizontal rows of many different geometric shapes span the length of the rug. Black, white, soft yellow, and dashes of light blue silk make up the palette with long red fringes providing a colorful detail. Hints of the red foundation can be seen throughout when looking closely at the rug.
