This pile rug was woven in Armenia in 1935, the date "1935 is woven in the top right. It features an uncommon geometric composition in yellow and red, on a rare purple field. The main border is composed of abstract geometric shapes on a dark brown ground. The minor borders are dainty barber-pole stripes in red and yellow. The idiosyncrasies of this rug make it extra special and an interminable feast for the eyes. 

In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Edges have been reinforced for longevity. The pile is low, with a hefty handle.
