Kurdish Jaff mat from the early 20th century, handwoven in Northwest Iran.
This small and charming rug features the classic Jaff tribe design of diamonds, framed by another classic element, a wide rosette border. Although of significant age, the brightness of colors still come through, a testament to the quality and brilliance of natural dyes.
In fair condition, with some wear throughout, notably in the center (pictured). Low pile, with a soft handle.
