Bakhtiari rug handwoven in South Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century.
This rug is composed of a diamond shaped garden design, with each lozenge containing either geometric shapes or abstracted flowering bushes. The color palette is made up of rich reds, pinks, yellows, browns, blues, greens and ivory. The main border showcases interlocking rosettes in the same wide color palette. A very pleasing abrash has developed most significantly in the exceptional blues.
In very good condition, with some wear throughout. A very durable rug in a versatile size. Low pile, with a dense floppy handle.
