Chinese deco rug handwoven in the second quarter of the 20th century.
This rug is composed of a luscious purple field. It contains a design of flowers and grape vines ripe with fruit; a bird hovers gracefully nearby. The gold border is composed of an elegant floral meander. This rug feels very decadent, and is composed of the same design of BK1671, but in a slightly smaller format.
In very good condition, signs of wear are consistent with age. Sarnak present throughout, which is to be expected with this type of rug. Pile is low, with a very sturdy handle.
