This Shirvan rug was handwoven during the middle of the 19th century in the Caucasus.

The field features a colorful array of blossoming flowers separated by a yellow lattice atop a dark field. A large ivory boarder surrounds the field with brightly colored flower bouquets.

Rug has been cut and reduced in size at some point in its long life. Wear is consistent with age.
